Dealing With Post-Workout Pain

True, ab workouts will undoubtedly test your body. But, it should never injure your body. When you start exercising your body beyond normal range, it's natural to feel sore afterwards. Some call this breaking the muscles. But, what many forget is that if you break something, you have to give it time to heal. Ab workouts literally tears your ab fibers and they will need time to recover.

If you have done your ab workouts in proper posture, you will feel sore around your mid-section. You might actually find it hard to get up in the morning, after a session of vigorous Ab Workouts. You don't have to worry because this soreness will go away eventually. This is probably the only pain you should encounter. If you experience back or neck pain, after doing your ab workouts this could mean it wasn't done in good form.

Every workout needs a good warm-up. Stretching is good. But, you might want to consider doing jumping jacks to get your cardio vascular system going. Warm-ups could easily prevent torn cartilages resulting from intensive and exhaustive routines for ab workouts.

A full body workout will usually consist of lower, oblique and upper abdominal exercises. Standard crunches will not be called an ab workout routine as there is only one form of exercise. Try doing 10 -12 reps each of Side Crunches, Leg Lifts and Toe Touches for a start.

Firstly, you will have to build yourself up gradually. Try doing low repetitions of basic ab workouts before trying your hand at the intense exercises you see on videos. Start by doing 15 minutes of various ab exercises every other day. And, you can gradually increase the repetitions once you feel you need to do more. Listen to your body!

The Truth About Ab Workout Videos

When you view any exercise video รข€“at least a dozen of them are about ab workouts. Before you start filling your cart with DVDs of these films on how to do specific ab exercises; I will advise you to do some research first. This is not my way of saying that these companies who sell exercise flicks are just ripping you off, but it doesn't really take a genius to figure out that videos won't give you flat abs in 5 days. Overpromising and undelivering in the process. Just like weight training, you should give your body some time to get the results you want to achieve.

Some popular flicks are those that promise to give you ripped abs with only five minutes of ab workouts everyday. Actually, there are two points to consider here. Firstly, five minutes is not the recommended time to really work your abs sufficiently. Second, you should never do ab workouts everyday even with good reason.

Recuperation of your muscles is just an important as your efforts to fatigue it.

Another mind-blowing series of ab workout videos are those that don't require a sensible diet. If you are religiously following your routine without any complaint, it's more likely that you already have rock hard abs. Maybe you are still unfamiliar about Mike Geary's five rules to getting six-pack abs. You should check it out. It's rather refreshing and different. The most important of all, is that his concepts work.

Many people are still asking me about expensive abdominal machines in the videos. Even an ab wheel will not hurt your bank account, consider it and your basic ab workouts will do wonders. All you need to do is to put in more effort to do intermediate ab workouts. These machines won't hurt you and it will even facilitate your workouts better! The only question that you have to ask yourself is that whether you are comfortable with the cost to get the rock-hard results you are after.

Don't be fooled with advertisements about ab workouts. These people are selling something like a miracle cure! Believe me when I say that those videos will turn out to be a felony.

My advice? Don't buy ab workout videos until they have been proven that they work. I rather you purchase a six-pack abs guide that millions of people endorse. After all, I am sure you don't want to be cheated by another muscular model, right?

The General Wrong Idea

If you are set on getting washboard abs like a particular model, you should be religious with your ab workouts. I'm not saying that you should exercise your abs muscles everyday - because in reality, you should not train your abs everyday. Give yourself at least 15 minutes everyday which means a total of 45 minutes a week to do a series of exercises to strengthen your abs. The reason you should overwork your abs is because these muscles are the same as any other muscle in your body. Thus, ab workouts are just like lifting weights.

A low carbohydrate diet is of prior importance. Never starve yourself, it will lower your metabolism; and actually burn your abs away. Basically, lessened intake of fatty foods combined with good exercise routines will help in decreasing the size of your stomach. Our stomach is like a balloon. If you want to eat more regularly, it will adjust to a state which it needs more food. When you put less food into your stomach suddenly, your stomach cannot adapt and will store fat for energy instead. Of course, your metabolism halts.

Are you still set on having rock hard abs? Because there is a need for you need to know more about ab workouts first. If you're already thinking of telling me that you can't do it, then you might want to reconsider even starting on anything. You will need a lot of discipline to make it work. Definitely, many people get mistaken because they feel that they can do 100 repetitions on Wednesday because they missed a workout on Monday! They are absolutely mistaken! Your abs don't grow harder this way!

Yeah, I know it will be hard on beginners.

But it's important that they know that ab workouts will only work to give them six packs if they know what they are doing. Watch out for my next few blog posts to have an idea of the wrong ideas everyone's adopting.

Home Ab Workouts Machines

There are plenty of ab workouts you can do at home. These exercises can strengthen your abdominal muscles, but they do not give you flat bellies. Although it is a great way to lose some weight, it does not qualify as a daily exercise. Since this form of exercise requires your muscles to stretch and work hard, treat your abs like any other ordinary muscle in your body. Adding some strain on your abdominal muscles works, so, you do need to give them time to recuperate.

Another benefit from working your abs is that it gives your body core more strength and balance. Do not adjust your mentality to do ab workouts because you want to have flat abs. Do them because you want to live a healthy lifestyle.

The list of ab workouts that you can do is pretty extensive. You can do the standard crunch with some twists and modifications to make your routine enjoyable. However, if your ab workouts become boring and repetitive, you can always opt to get those ab machines instead.

These equipments can help your exercise become easier and more productive. But, here are a few reminders for those who want to buy these abs equipments for the sake of fitness; do make sure that the products are durable and can actually carry your weight. Try to look for more reputable brands as well.

Another thing to look out for is the quality of the material used. Some gadgets for ab workouts do not undergo tremendous wear and tear. Instead, they could cause more harm to you.

A great machine for your abs is the Ab Wheel. This is a great ab workout machine because it focuses on various muscles besides your abs. Another ab equipment that is really awesome is the Ab Cruncher. This is because you can use it while watching TV. To get the most out of your daily workouts, you need to focus the other parts of your body as well for lean, ripped abs.

More Intensity On Your Ab Workouts

Beginners were never told that their workouts could be intensified to get better results for the same amount of time. They only knew of basic ab exercises; such as the ones they have seen on exercise videos. These standard ab workouts are already quite enough to give you the rock hard abs you've been yearning for. But as time passes, your body will grow immune to it. Instead of doing more repetitions, try adding twists to your ab routines.

To add more intensity to your ab regimes, you will need certain equipments. The most versatile machine will be the dumbbell. You might think that by adding more weight to your body when doing the exercises will not work; but it will as your abdominal muscles will be carrying more weight around your chest. Another is the Swiss Medicine Ball, which actually helps by providing your lower back with cushions. The Bench is another good companion as it will help you maintain proper posture and give you plenty of grip when doing any ab workout.

However, if you do have time to go to the gym, I would advise you to do so. There are various machines designed primarily for training abdominal muscles. These include the expensive equipments shown on print and Television advertisements. These ab apparatus are generally useful and available in stores. However, they will require plenty of space. Cheaper and more compact machines for ab workouts are also in abundance; but these could prove to be a foolish investment on your part.

The ab machines in gyms are better suited for your needs and are obviously sturdier. The gym is a great place to see how other people intensify their ab training regimes. From observing others doing ab exercises, you can create your own schedule that you can use with a twist.

Lose Belly Fat Now Right This Minute!

The popular myth that any ab workout will help you lose fat is not entirely accurate. Although it will help to increase your metabolism in the long run; it's not true that your stomach fat will disappear if you keep doing ab workouts solely. Here's the truth, if you are consistent with your weekly regimes, you should already have those six pack abs. However, what you are doing is not getting rid of your stomach fat; so your washboard abs can be seen no matter how many reps you faithfully complete. Aside from doing ab workouts, you should have a healthy diet and more exercises.

Maybe you exercise every other day, but you might want to consider squeezing in a few cardio exercise sessions. The combination of ab workouts and aerobics can do wonders for your body. Not only will you be losing a lot of weight, you'll also be toning your midsection. A healthy diet is essential as well. Check out my Essential Dieting Kit for more details. Your metabolism will increase with the various workouts you've been doing, and you will need to keep your body energized.

Ab Workouts should not be done with an empty or a particularly full stomach. The best time to do ab exercises is in the morning (before eating your breakfast). This will ensure that you have plenty of energy to continue with your usual daily routine.

Losing weight through ab workouts will take a lot of dedication. It is no picnic; so, don't be disappointed if you've been doing ab workouts for a month and you still have a flabby stomach. I think it is worth reiterating this but DO NOT strain yourself. If you did it correctly, ab workouts will help you tone your body's core.

Reinforcements Of Ab Workouts

Millions of men and women spend a lot of money and countless hours to get six pack abs. These people foolishly believe that by doing ab workouts solely, it is enough to give them that rock hard abs. They do not know that a combination with diet and other forms of exercises is the proper solution for this equation.

Ab Workouts and a healthy low-carbohydrate diet will ensure that you have your much needed energy. Cardio exercises will help you lose weight while weight training will help you tone that abs. With this in mind, don't forget that the whole process will require a lot of time and effort from you. It might even become a traumatic process.

By giving your body the nutrients it needs; your metabolism will increase. You will also have enough energy for ab exercises and other activities. Aside from food and drinks, health supplements are a great combination to your ab workouts. You'll be assured that you body has everything it needs to function properly. Cardio or aerobic exercises will help you by burning away the extra calories.

What about less carbohydrates?

Spend three days a week doing full-body workouts, and the other days doing Cardio Training; to give your muscles time to recover from those ab workouts. Ab workouts also go well with weight training. Since you want to reinforce the core of your body, you will have more balance and coordination within.

Remember that you must really work your muscles to get any results (at all!). The results are empowering and you will get the washboard abs that women will gladly die for. Ab workouts are not as easy as they look, so choose wisely. If you overdo your ab exercises, you could end up hurting yourself.
