Some Lower Ab Workouts

A lot of women do lower ab workouts to get flat stomachs. But, they do not realize that these exercises will not help them get six packs. Women, especially those who have children feel that they need more lower body workouts to get rid of the jelly flab. Unfortunately, lower ab workouts only strengthen the abdominal muscles.

To get a flat stomach, they will need to do more than plain ab exercises. The myth that abs training regimes will give you six pack abs has been invalidated by many ab fitness experts. One example will include Mike Geary. Ab workouts should be done properly with a combination of a healthy diet, cardio exercises and strength training.

To target the lower stomach region, your beginning stomach workout should consist of Bent-Leg Knee Raises and Pulse Ups. Each of these should consist of at least 10 repetitions. The Raised Knee-In or Bicycles is one of the more basic ab exercises and should be have 15 repetitions.

Consistency and proper posture is the key. No matter how many repetitions done, nothing will work properly should you strain your lower back. Correct ab workouts must work your abdominal muscles, not your neck and shoulder muscles.

If you have time to go to the gym, everything will look better since some ab workout machines will help you target your lower abs. On the other hand, if you can afford the expensive ab machines, you can do these exercises at the comfort of your homes. The basic ab workouts will be easier to accomplish. And you can do more repetitions to really work your lower abs. All it takes is time and effort (as well as discipline and consistency) to do everything. If you can't follow through or give up, your previous hard work will go down the drain.
