Staying Committed

Staying committed to the abs training plan that you have laid out can be challenging especially if this is your first one. Along the way, you will definitely hit some roadblocks. But, don't let these low points hinder your progress. You should get back on track as soon as possible. Read on to find out a few simple tips to help keep you on the straight and narrow path.

Plan ahead - Sit down at the weekend and plan your week ahead. Enter your daily exercise routines in at a feasible time slot on the kitchen calendar, in a diary or personal organizer. Then, make sure you actually do it: spend the first 7-10 days doing exactly what you planned and this will turn your chore to a routine. Keeping to the plan is all about habits. As contrary to what people believe, these habits are easier to modify than you might think.

In much the same way, plan your weekly menu. Write a daily food list and buy only those foods. If you have only healthy food in the house then it is much easier to resist temptation.

Enlist support - Tell people what you are trying to achieve, but make sure that they are the right people. Unfortunately, there are some people out there who are going to impress a more negative influence than a positive one. These sort of people will undermine your confidence and insist you have the cake when you a choice between a cake and an apple.

Choose people who are going to be giving you genuine support and positive moral support. Their support will be a great boost when you feel you are slipping. Ask them to keep an eye on you and thank them for their help. It is amazing how people's attitudes can change when they feel involved and needed. Just make sure you are one of those supportive people.

Lastly, we all have bad days which you don't feel like doing anything. It's perfectly alright to feel that way sometimes. Treat it as a break for your body when you laze around. But, don't overdo it! As long as you feel more refreshed after the sluggish days, you will feel more energized to go back on track the next day.
