4 Tips To Maintain Abs

Eating out can be destructive to your abs training especially when you have been counting calories for calories at each meal for the past few months training very hard in attempt to burn off a few extra calories. The good news is, you can still enjoy the mouth-watering dishes in the fine restaurants as long as you know what to look out for when dining out.

#1 Tip - It's the sauce that counts

Often, what makes a great meal isn't the added fat (after all, you can cook something in olive oil or butter) but the fabulous sauces and reductions. If you are at a fine restaurant, look for dishes that are broiled and stay away from anything breaded or fried.

#2 Tip - Cut your portion in half

Almost sixty percent of women finish their restaurant portion, even though most of these women also say they are served with too much food. Ask for appetizers, rather than entrees as your main course. Alternatively, you can simply split your entree in half as soon as it's served and offer the other half to your partner.

#3 Tip - Sniff your food

Pretend that you are sniffing a glass of fine wine, it's a good idea to smell your food before delving into your meal. The olfactory glands help release a satiety hormone that makes you feel fuller faster so you can eat less and satisfied sooner.

#4 Tip - Think oil, not butter

Dipping your bread (whole grain is best) in olive oil, (rather than spreading it with butter) can save you calories and make your heart healthier. The fat in olive oil is better for you than those in butter.

To summarize, if you can use these 4 tips while eating out, you will be able to indulge (guilty-free!) in the delicious food and can save your abs from the food disaster at the same time!
